On Thursday, April 15, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed press conference to inform about new steps taken by Delhi Government to curb the COVID-19 cases.
While addressing he announced about weekend curfew to be imposed in Delhi to curb the COVID-19 cases in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal said, “Curfew passes to be issued to those rendering essential services. Malls, gyms, spas and auditoriums to be closed. Cinemas halls to operate at 30% capacity only. People will not be allowed to dine-in restaurants, only home deliveries permitted”, as quoted by ANI.
He further added, “To control the spread of COVID19, it has been decided to impose weekend curfew in Delhi.”

Arvind Kejriwal also shared information about availability of beds and oxygens beds and saod no of oxygen beds is being increased
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘I request you, do not insist on being admitted in one hospital, you can also go to another hospital.”
In the last 24 hours, India reported 2,00,739 new COVID-19 cases and reached the milestone of highest single day surge and 93,528 patients got discharge, while 1,038 people died of this deadly virus. Total active cases in India is now around 14 lakhs.
On 14 April, day 4 of the countrywide Tika Utsav, 31.39 lakh vaccine doses were administered till 8 pm. 69,974 COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs) were operational, marking a rise of an average of 24,000 operational Vaccination Centres ( 45,000 CVCs on an average are functional on any given day). Workplace vaccinations have also enabled such a high turnout of beneficiaries.
