The June 4 episode of Days of Our Lives opened with Hope helping Bo as he moved to the couch. Even though Bo had been in a coma for years, he was already standing on his own. Hope reminded him she had stayed by his side the entire time and sealed the moment with a kiss, calling it a fresh start for them both. Bo struggled with the painful memories of what he had done while under Megan’s control, but Hope reassured him that their love was still strong and unwavering.

Ciara then walked in, catching her parents sharing a tender moment, and updated Bo on her life—she now had two children and traveled often with Ben. Bo was thrilled at the news of becoming a grandfather and looked forward to meeting his grandkids. Shawn Douglas arrived shortly after and immediately asked Bo what he remembered. Bo surprised everyone by recalling everything, including being shot by Shawn. He insisted it wasn’t Shawn’s fault and instead blamed Megan for everything. The two shared a heartfelt hug, bringing some relief amid the tension.

Bo’s excitement grew when he learned he was now a grandfather to four children, but the mood turned somber when he heard that Victor had passed away. Bo broke down, expressing deep regret that he never got to tell his father he loved him. Hope then delivered more heartbreaking news: Doug had also died. Bo was devastated but found comfort in Hope’s steadfast support.

Meanwhile, Marlena sat quietly by the memorial for Tom and Alice, mourning John’s death as well. She shared with Will and Carrie that John had wanted his reception to be held at the Brady Pub. Marlena revealed she had told John’s father the news herself, admitting she now had to learn how to face life’s challenges on her own. Will called Sami, who sadly said she wouldn’t be attending the memorial because her daughter had an accident and needed surgery.

Johnny prepared nervously for his first day at Titan-DiMera but was shaken by John’s passing. Chanel comforted him, telling Johnny that he was brave just like John and should be proud to carry his name. Later, Johnny and Chanel visited Marlena, who reassured him that he had already made John proud. Chanel promised to stand by Johnny and support him through his grief.

Elsewhere, Andrew offered comfort to Paul, who expressed sorrow that his father had been a hero but wished he hadn’t been. They discussed postponing their wedding, but Marlena encouraged them to go forward with it, saying the family needed something joyful to hold onto. Persuaded by her words, Paul agreed, saying that their wedding would be a way to honor his father’s memory and bring hope amid the pain.
