Shakira brought the heat — and a six-step-long train — to the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, radiating elegance in an all-pink satin ensemble that turned the Metropolitan Museum of Art into her personal runway. The Colombian superstar wowed in a flowing gown that shimmered with movement, styled effortlessly with her signature golden curls, a bold statement necklace, and subtle personalized detailing that echoed her unique blend of grace and glam.
While 2025’s pink perfection made headlines, it’s impossible to forget Shakira’s jaw-dropping Met Gala debut just a year ago. In 2024, she stunned in a scarlet Carolina Herrera gown — strapless, with dramatic puffed sleeves and a thigh-high slit that brought the drama and delivered one of the night’s most talked-about looks. It was a proud moment for Latin representation on fashion’s grandest stage.
This year, the Met Gala celebrated the theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style — an ode to the artistry and influence of Black menswear. According to the MET Museum, the exhibit examines “the importance of style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora, particularly in the United States and Europe.”
As always, Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour led the charge, joined this year by co-chairs Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and NBA icon LeBron James.
And if you missed it? Don’t worry — the red carpet extravaganza is streaming live on Vogue’s YouTube channel, with global icons like Zendaya, Miley Cyrus, and even Bollywood royalty Shah Rukh Khan gracing fashion’s most exclusive night.
