Bella Ramsey made quite the impression during a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, where they chatted about The Last of Us, showed off some serious jiu-jitsu moves, and even managed to flip Jonathan Ross right onto the floor!

Bella, who plays Ellie in HBO’s hit post-apocalyptic drama, didn’t hold back when it came to sharing behind-the-scenes stunt stories. “I do most of my own stunts,” they said, grinning. “I’ve had a black eye from a clicker and split my lip open in a fight scene—but I love it. I’m good at getting hurt just enough to keep going.” With Season 2 around the corner, Bella revealed they’ve been back in training, adding new skills like boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu to their repertoire. “You don’t have to be big to take someone down,” they joked.

Naturally, their beloved co-star Pedro Pascal came up in conversation. Bella couldn’t help but gush a little: “He’s really wonderful and funny. I get why the whole world has a crush on him. People come up to me looking all flustered when they talk about him—he’s definitely made an impression!”

As for the new season of The Last of Us, Bella kept quiet on spoilers—on purpose. “I’ve just started saying no to everything,” they laughed. “Even when I want to spill something, I just shut it down.”

Season 2 promises even more emotional twists and dangerous turns as Joel and Ellie’s bond is tested further. Alongside returning favorites like Gabriel Luna, the show is bringing in new faces, including Tati Gabrielle and Jeffrey Wright. But fans shouldn’t expect the series to go on forever—creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have been clear that they have a defined end in mind.

During the episode, Bella shared the stage with a lively guest lineup, including Martin Freeman, Jarvis Cocker, Sindhu Vee, and Romesh Ranganathan. With their mix of on-screen intensity and off-screen charm, Bella is clearly a fan favorite—both in the apocalypse and on the sofa.
