Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Animal and Kabir Singh, and Prabhas will work together for the first time on Spirit, a forthcoming pan-Indian action thriller. Due in large part to Prabhas’ tough new on-screen persona and Vanga’s trademark powerful narrative, the film has attracted a lot of early buzz.

The movie is being marketed as a brutal action drama, while storyline specifics are still being kept under wraps. According to preliminary material released by the producers, Prabhas portrays a police officer, and the story is anticipated to examine violence, morality, and justice in an unvarnished manner—aspects frequently linked to Vanga’s style of filmmaking.

The first-look poster, which debuted at midnight on January 1, 2026, featured Prabhas in a stripped-down, damaged, and disfigured avatar. It quickly gained notice on social media. The image set expectations for a physically demanding job and spoke to a dark, harsh reality.

Cast, Production and Release Plans

In addition to Prabhas, the female lead in the movie is Triptii Dimri. The supporting cast includes Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj, while veteran actress Kanchana is rumored to have a significant part. Although the producers eventually verified the final roster, Triptii’s appointment followed early rumors about other names.

Under the auspices of T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga. With Supreme Sundar handling action choreography and Harshavardhan Rameshwar writing the music, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has served in a variety of capacities as director, writer, and editor.

Filming for the movie began in late 2025, and the first schedules were finished by the end of the year. Additional filming is scheduled into 2026, and Prabhas has apparently given the production more time.

Spirit’s international and pan-Indian goals will be furthered by its March 5, 2027, worldwide theater premiere, which will be available in several languages. Production is currently in progress, and as interest in the project grows, more formal updates are anticipated in the upcoming months.
