Silver prices in India moved higher on Wednesday, December 24, with rates rising sharply across key weight categories. As per the latest data, silver was priced at Rs 233 per gram, marking an increase of Rs 10 per gram compared with the previous session. On a kilogram basis, silver stood at Rs 2,33,000, up Rs 10,000 from Rs 2,23,000.
The increase was visible across all standard denominations. For 10 grams, silver was priced at Rs 2,330, higher by Rs 100, while 100 grams cost Rs 23,300, up Rs 1,000 from yesterday’s level.
City-wise silver prices in India
Silver prices remained largely uniform across major Indian cities on December 24. In Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad, silver was quoted at Rs 2,330 per 10 grams, Rs 23,300 per 100 grams, and Rs 2,33,000 per kilogram.
In Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala, silver prices were slightly higher, with 10 grams priced at Rs 2,440, 100 grams at Rs 24,400, and 1 kilogram at Rs 2,44,000.
Price movement overview
The day’s rise reflects a uniform upward revision in domestic silver prices, with gains of around 4.5% on a per-gram basis compared to the previous session. The movement was consistent across weights and regions, with no major divergence between northern and western markets.
