Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced the receipt of its second major order from the state of Jharkhand, further strengthening its position in India’s solar irrigation infrastructure segment. The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has issued a Letter of Award to the company for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 1,200 Solar Water Pumping Systems (SWPS) across various locations in the state. The project has been sanctioned under Component-B of the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM scheme, which focuses on promoting solar-powered solutions for the agriculture sector.
The order carries a total value of approximately ₹23.98 crore, inclusive of GST. As per the contract terms, Shakti Pumps will oversee the entire scope of work—covering design, manufacturing, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar pumping systems. The project is scheduled to be completed within 120 days from the issuance of the official Notice to Proceed or Work Order.
The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity, and the company has clarified that there is no promoter or group-company interest linked to the awarding agency. The contract does not fall under related-party transactions, ensuring the award is entirely compliant with regulatory standards.
