Poly Medicure Ltd, one of India’s top medical device companies, has announced a major global expansion move. The company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% stake in Medistream SA, which includes Citieffe SRL and its step-down subsidiaries in the USA and Mexico. The deal is valued at an enterprise value of ₹324 crore (EUR 31 million).
Citieffe, headquartered in Italy, is a well-known name in the orthopaedic trauma and extremities segment. With direct operations in Italy, the US, and Mexico, and distribution across more than 25 countries, Citieffe has built a strong global presence. In calendar year 2024, the company posted revenues of EUR 17.3 million and EBITDA of EUR 3.1 million, marking annual growth of 15% and 14% respectively.
For Poly Medicure, this acquisition marks a strategic entry into the fast-growing global orthopaedics market. The trauma and extremities segment, where Citieffe specializes, is considered one of the most resilient and rapidly expanding areas within orthopaedics. With this move, Poly Medicure not only strengthens its international footprint but also positions itself to tap into a much larger opportunity in the healthcare space.
