Xiaomi’s much-anticipated flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, is expected to make its debut early next year. The device, part of the Xiaomi 15 series alongside the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, is rumored to launch first in China before entering global markets. Recent reports suggest that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may also launch in India soon, as it has allegedly been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number 25010PN30I.

The BIS listing, dated December 20, reportedly confirms the approval of an unannounced Xiaomi smartphone. While the certification does not explicitly name the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, earlier leaks from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) associated this model number with the Indian variant of the device. The global variant is speculated to carry a similar model number, with the last letter changed to ‘G.’

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature cutting-edge specifications, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 2K quad-curved display, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. It may also sport a 1-inch main camera sensor with an f/1.63 aperture and offer 90W wired charging support. Additionally, it is rumored to include IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

While an official India launch date is yet to be confirmed, the smartphone’s BIS certification suggests that it could arrive in the country soon. If the Xiaomi 15 Ultra follows the pattern of its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, it may enter the Indian market shortly after its global launch.

For now, fans of the brand will have to wait for Xiaomi to release further details about this premium flagship device.
