Indian President Droupadi Murmu has reached the residence of the former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh to pay her last respects to him. Several photos from her visit has been shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by news agency ANI. The pictures show the President meeting the widow of Singh, Gursharan Kaur.

Singh was earlier, on Thursday, admitted to hospital as his health deteriorated due to age – related issues. It was then confirmed by AIIMS that we have lost the former PM.
The man, who is often described as the architect of Indian reforms, also served as Finance Minister in 1991, under the then Prime Minister P. V. Narsimha Rao.
