The much awaited teaser of Salman Khan starrer Sikandar was scheduled to release today on December 27 at 11.07 AM. The date had been fixed considering the birthday of the lead actor. However, the release date for teaser has been postponed due to the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

In a statement issued by Nadiadwala grandson entertainment, the makers said, “In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11.07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding.”

Speaking of the film, the action- thriller is being helmed by A.R. Murugadoss and is being backed by Sajid Nadiad’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment production house. Sikandar will feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Salman and will also feature Sharman Joshi.

The makers unveiled the first poster of the movie yesterday, which featured Salman in a rugged avatar, holding a spear, and flaunting his iconic Feroza bracelet.
