The project, part of a key highway development in West Bengal, had been awarded to Ashoka Buildcon, but the bid was canceled by NHAI for administrative reasons. This setback has raised concerns among investors, contributing to the drop in share value.
Ashoka Buildcon’s stock opened at ₹237.15, with a high of ₹241.49 and a low of ₹232.65 today. The shares have been under pressure following the cancellation of a major ₹2800 crore project by NHAI. The stock is currently trading far below its 52-week high of ₹284.74, with a low of ₹130.85.
As of 2:40 pm, Ashoka Buildcon shares were trading 3.13% lower at Rs 233.63 on the NSE.
