Taaza Khabar season 2, the Disney+ Hotstar series with popular internet personality Bhuvan Bam in the lead role, is finally out on the platform. Bhuvan recently discussed the show, and hoped that it might aid him in his shift to Bollywood and said, “I hope it helps me transition more smoothly into Bollywood, proving that digital creators can also thrive in mainstream cinema.”
According to Hindustan Times, Bhuvan called the series as his ‘audition tape’ for Bollywood. He confessed that he has challenged himself with Taaza Khabar 2, taking leaps while pushing boundaries and testing his limits as an actor. He added that the series has scenes that call for ample vulnerability as well as strength, hoping to prove that he can do much more than just provoke laughter or drama. Bhuvan sees this as a chance to prove himself across genres and, therefore, tries to justify himself before the viewer as well as before the film industry.
Bhuvan credits the project’s success to its collaboration with some of the most impressive actors Jaaved Jaaferi and Shriya Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Manjrekar. He added, “There were moments when their performance would ignite something new in my own approach to a scene. I learned a lot just by observing their craft.”
Taaza Khabar 2 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Continuing the storyline from its first season that streamed this January, this one is being followed after the first season’s great response.
