There happened once a catfight among Bollywood actresses Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and they had made headlines with their statements. We are pretty sure you remember when Sonam had allegedly referred to Aishwarya as ‘aunty’. Back in 2009, Sonam became the brand ambassador of a beauty brand, which was earlier being endorsed by Aishwarya. Apparently to this, the latter had indicated an impression of discontentment, to which Sonam did not hold back from making the controversial statement.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonam was asked about her statement, and she explained that Aishwarya had worked with her father Anil Kapoor in the past so she felt like she had to call her aunty. Well, Sonam’s response triggered quite a stir on the internet back in the day. Sonam even attempted to say sorry for the statement by adding that she will never make such a statement and defended herself that her quote was misquoted.
Sonam has once again made it to the news as she stated that it is all rumours and she never spoke any such things. She even said that she cannot comment on it anymore. She further said that she does not want go into it anymore and said she has a lot of regard for Abhishek Bachchan personally and had the best time shooting Delhi 6.
The Neerja actress admitted that she would address Aish differently, but would never call her aunty, and instead choose a polite manner.
