Audi has issued a recall for e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT cars manufactured between January 9, 2020 and June 12, 2020, owing to a problem with the front axle’s braking hoses. According to the SIAM document, 37 units of the two high-performance EV vehicles have been recalled.

The recall document further states that over time and with continued use, “significant tension” created by the steering may be applied to the front brake hoses, resulting in cracks forming near the points of their attachment.

With a 93.4kWh battery pack, the Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are now priced at Rs 1.72 crore and 1.95 crore, respectively. The battery in the 530hp GT Quattro has a WLTP range of 500km, whereas in the 646hp RS Quattro it is rated at 481km. Audi’s powerful all-electric sedans compete against the Porsche Taycan (Rs 1.89 crore-2.53 crore) and the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 (Rs 2.45 crore).
