Rakesh Roshan directed his son Hrithik Roshan in Koi Mil Gaya in August 2003, and over the next 20 years it went on to become a cult classic in Indian film. The movie defied all expectations of what was considered to be a successful movie and has endured to remain relevant for many years to come. PVR Inox will have a new release in Koi Mil Gaya on August 4 in 30 locations as the movie celebrates its 20th anniversary of release.

The purpose is to honour the cult masterpiece and let spectators to once more enjoy its charm on a large screen. Of course, the development has the director Rakesh Roshan giddy with delight. Koi Mil Gaya will be re-released, the director said in an exclusive interview. He says, “The PVR Inox team got in touch with us to mark Koi Mil Gaya’s 20th anniversary. The news of their plans made me very delighted, and together we have decided to rerelease the movie on August 4th in 30 cities.”

Releasing the movie in PVR Inox theatres is meant to bring back nostalgic memories of it. The re-release is intended to be a family outing where parents bring their kids to the theatres to watch Jaadoo as the parents reminisce about seeing the movie 20 years ago.
