TV actor Samir Sharma was found hanging from his kitchen ceiling on Wednesday night. He allegedly died by suicide, in his apartment in Malad West, Mumbai. Sameer was popularly known for playing the role of Kuhu’s father in the TV serial ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ which aired on Star Plus. The police reportedly suspected that he hanged himself two days back.
Mid-Day reported that his body was discovered by his apartment’s watchman, who was strolling at night. The watchman saw a body hanging from the ceiling of an apartment. He later informed the building supervisor who then reported the incident to the police. No suicide note was found as such at the actor’s apartment.
Senior inspector George Fernandez, Malad Police Station said, “A case of accidental death has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy.” Malad Police have registered the case as an accidental death as of now.”
Apart from ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’, Sameer was also seen in popular TV serials like ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’, ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Jyoti’, and ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Du’ among others.
