Market Update:
The indices today closed stronger supported by gains in Automotive and IT stocks, Bank stocks in action too after a negative session on Monday.
At close, Sensex was at 38492 up by 558 points or 1.47% and Nifty was at 11300 up by 168 points or 1.52%.
Nifty Bank clearing the previous session’s losses and surging over 1% or gaining 200 points to close at 22082.90 , Kotak Mahindra top gainer up by 4%.
Highlights at close:

- Ultratech Cement, M&M , TCS, Tata Motors among the top gainers of Nifty.
- ICICI Bank, Bharti Infratel, Nestle among the top losers of Nifty.
- As IT gains, TCS surged 5% ,HCL Tech at 52-Week high.
- M&M surges 5% reaching the 52-Week high at 625.80.
- ICICI dips nearly 2%, Day’s low at 343.20.
- Yes Bank dips 4% after listing of issues.
- All sectoral indices closed higher except Media.
