Bollywood again lost one of the greatest talents on 14th June, at the young age of 34, Sushant Singh Rajput, who was considered very optimistic, ended his life. The reports said that the actor was found dead at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
Because of his untimely death, the actor’s mental health got into the media attention. And while everyone from Bollywood and TV industry were mourning over his tragic death, producer and Mahesh Bhatt’s brother Mukesh Bhatt revealed unnerving facts about him. He said that he “saw it coming” and that he noticed “something amiss” in the actor.
In an interaction with Times Now, Mukesh recalled that he met Sushant during the casting of Sadak 2, and the producer admitted, “To be honest with you, I saw it coming,” referring to Sushant’s decision to end his life.
“I had met Rajput on a number of occasions. The first time I met him was in 2012 when he had come to our office to meet me for Aashiqui 2,” he said, adding that the project did not materialize with him.
However, they happened to meet again for the casting of Sadak 2 where he and Alia Bhatt even discussed the late actor’s interest in the movie. So when Mukesh met the actor for the same, he noticed that something felt out of place. “He was a very disturbed soul. There was something about him I felt which wasn’t connected. And that bothered me more than anything else,” he said.
But even this film couldn’t work out with the talented actor, “He was a very disturbed boy. He was not there, while talking to me, I felt that he was not on the same plane. There was something amiss, something wrong,”
Mukesh also revealed that as he was having a discussion with Mahesh, he expressed his fear that Sushant might be following Parveen’s footsteps.
Mukesh told the portal that “While the world is shocked about this tragic incident, I am not shocked because I saw it coming. But I am very depressed and very hurt because he was such a bright, talented young boy.”
