NBA star Anthony Edwards is facing legal battles with his former partner, Daja Carlyle, in a paternity dispute over their daughter, Aris. Edwards accused Carlyle of harassment and “sabotage” during the legal proceedings.

Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards, 23, claimed that his ex-partner, Daja Carlyle, engaged in “unsolicited harassing communication” with his associates. Edwards’ attorney argued that Carlyle sent messages with threats if Edwards and his team did not meet her demands. The court documents suggest that Carlyle’s behavior caused “unnecessary conflict and stress” for Edwards.

Paternity case and custody dispute

In February 2024, Edwards filed a paternity lawsuit to be officially recognized as the biological father of their daughter, Aris, born in 2023. He sought joint legal and physical custody, while Carlyle countered by requesting child support and primary physical custody. They reached an agreement in April for Edwards to pay $5,000 per month in child support. However, Edwards later argued that Carlyle was attempting to increase the payments unfairly.

Carlyle’s financial claims challenged

Edwards disputed Carlyle’s claims of financial hardship, alleging that she was voluntarily unemployed or underemployed, despite running a business, MyPrettiBody. He accused Carlyle of attempting to avoid working by increasing child support demands, arguing that her financial situation was not as dire as she claimed. In a separate legal issue, Edwards is involved in another paternity lawsuit with a woman named Ayesha Howard. Earlier this month, he requested DNA testing to confirm the paternity of a baby girl born on October 14.
