The nominations for the 2024 MTV EMAs have been revealed, bringing excitement to fans and artists alike. The 30th anniversary ceremony is set to take place at the Co-op Live in Manchester on Sunday, November 10. Fans can catch the event live on MTV UK, Channel 5, and Pluto TV, with on-demand streaming available via Paramount+ starting November 12.
Taylor Swift leads the nominations
Leading the nominations for the second consecutive year is Taylor Swift, earning an impressive seven nods, including Best Artist, Best Collaboration for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, Best Pop, and Biggest Fans. Following closely behind are Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Lisa, and Ayra Starr, each securing four nominations.
First-time nominees
Chappell Roan is celebrating a breakthrough year with her first-ever MTV EMAs nominations, competing in categories such as Best Song for “Good Luck, Babe!” and Best New Artist. Additionally, nineteen nominees have the chance to win their first MTV EMA, including Disclosure and Fred Again.. for Best Electronic, Fontaines D.C. for Best Alternative, and BTS’s Jimin for Best K-Pop—his first nomination as a solo artist.
Key categories and highlights
The Best Alternative category features popular acts like Fontaines D.C., Hozier, and Imagine Dragons, while the Best Rock nominees include Coldplay, Liam Gallagher, and Green Day. Adele and Coldplay are both up for Best Live, alongside Doja Cat, RAYE, Taylor Swift, and Travis Scott. Fans can vote for their favorites across various categories, including Best Song and Best Artist, until midnight CET on November 6.
