Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, 44, recently shared her commitment to sobriety following a DUI arrest in November. In an interview with Extra’s Terri Seymour, Haddish expressed her resolve to abstain from alcohol, stating, “I’m not drinking any alcohol. Never gonna do that again,” with one exception: “Unless I get engaged. Then I just want him to see how crazy I am, just for one day.”

Haddish elaborated on her newfound sobriety, highlighting the physical benefits she’s experienced. “It feels good to wake up and my elbows ain’t aching. My knees ain’t burning. The crooks of my ankles ain’t on fire; there’s no inflammation,” she shared. When Seymour expressed her desire to see Haddish in a good place, the actress affirmed, “I want to be in a good place. I want to see myself in a good place, too.”

In February, Haddish entered a no-contest plea for reckless driving charges related to her arrest, with the misdemeanour charges subsequently dropped. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, she disclosed her sobriety since the incident, emphasizing the positive impact it has had on her life. “I’m completely sober,” she stated. “I haven’t had a drink since the incident.”
