In 2021, rapper and actor Bow Wow, also known as Shad Moss, initially seemed to deny being the father of a child named Stone Moss, only to later confirm through a court-ordered paternity test that he was indeed the father. This revelation added Stone to Bow Wow’s family, making him the father of two children.
Bow Wow’s first child is his daughter Shai, born in 2011, with the online influencer Joie Chavis. Stone’s mother is model Olivia Sky. As of 2024, Bow Wow has not had any more children beyond Shai and Stone.
The 2021 paternity test became a point of controversy as Bow Wow had initially referred to Stone on Instagram but later deleted the post. He had also acknowledged the child in 2020 on Twitter, sharing a picture of the infant with the caption, “Man you gone take all the girls.”
Bow Wow’s response to a question about having more kids during a Twitter Q&A before the paternity test was finalized raised eyebrows. He had stated, “HELL NO im fine w shai!” This led to speculation about disowning Stone Moss, which Bow Wow later denied. He also referenced Michael Jackson’s song “Billie Jean” on Twitter when asked if he had a son, clarifying later that it was not a denial but rather a humorous response inspired by the ’90s jams he was listening to at the time.
Despite the initial confusion and controversy, Bow Wow has since affirmed his role as a father to both Shai and Stone Moss, emphasizing that he would never deny his child.
