Supergirl is gearing up for a big summer debut. The movie hits theaters on June 26, 2026. Milly Alcock returns as Kara Zor-El, taking on a mission for revenge against Matthias Schoenaerts’ Krem of the Yellow Hills, alongside Eve Ridley’s Ruthye Marye-Knoll.

A new promo has fans buzzing because it name-drops Lobo’s famous nickname, “The Main Man.” Jason Momoa will play the intergalactic bounty hunter, finally fulfilling a long-time dream. The promo shows Kara cheering on her dog, Krypto, as he drags Lex Luthor around, referring to him as “My Main Man.” This is a clear nod to Lobo, who uses the same title in the comics.

Momoa’s Lobo makes only a brief appearance in the first trailer, showing a comic-accurate design. Despite the small screen time, his presence hints at bigger DCU plans. Lobo joins Supergirl’s adventure, while Krypto is expected to play a key role and face serious danger, though comic storylines suggest he may survive.

Lobo’s debut in Supergirl was reportedly planned as a cameo. The main story focuses on Krem, who has been redesigned for the DCU. Lobo and Krem are both ruthless mercenaries, which raises questions about whether they might clash or team up.

Tom King, creator of DC’s Woman of Tomorrow, revealed he originally pitched a Lobo/Supergirl story. While Lobo didn’t appear in the limited series, his DCU debut seems to incorporate some of that vision.

Jason Momoa’s Lobo could return in future DCU projects. Reports have hinted at a possible appearance in Man of Tomorrow, though details remain unconfirmed. If Lobo becomes a fan favorite, a solo film could eventually be on the table.

For now, fans can enjoy the first glimpses of Momoa’s “Main Man” in Supergirl and anticipate his larger role in the DCU later on.
