
On Monday, the indices opened on a negative note over weak global cues. At 11.19 IST, Sensex was trading at 33,045, down by 2 percent. Whereas Nifty declined by 2 percent at 9,756.
Among the sectoral indices, expect Nifty media all are trading on the red mark. The market today is mainly dragged by financial, metal, and auto stocks, as reported by CNBC TV18.
Here are some of the stocks in focus today:
- RIL:
TPG who has invested in companies such as Airbnb, Uber, and Spotify is set to invest Rs 4,546.80 crore, acquiring a 0.93 percent stake in RIL’s Jio. Further, L Catterton, a consumer-focused private equity firm, is going to invest Rs 1,894.50 crore gaining a 0.39 percent stake.
- Aarey Drugs:
The Elara India Opportunities Fund again has traded around 1,50,000 shares in the company at Rs 17.26 per share, as reported by Money Control.
- Eicher Motors:
The company reported net profit for the fourth quarter ended in March at Rs 304.3 crore. Although this was against Rs. 544.8 crore in the same quarter last year. The net revenue was posted at Rs 2,208.2 crore against Rs 2,500.1 crore in Q4FY19. The company shares rallied by 3 percent in the early trade on Monday on the BSE.
- Wipro:
The company has partnered with Citrix and Microsoft to drive business continuity for customers. At 11.26 IST, the company was trading among the top gainers at 209, up by 1 percent. The company today announced the launch of its Digital Inspection Solution for improved workplace safety and experience. Further, the launch is powered by IBM’s integrated workplace management system (IWMS).
- Hindalco Industries:
The corporation reported a net profit in its fourth quarter ended in March to stand at Rs 668 crore. Moreover, this was against Rs 1,178 crore in the Q4, last fiscal. The net revenue for the quarter under review was stated at Rs 29,318 crore compared to Rs 33,745 crore last year.
In addition, other stocks that are in focus comprise Vodafone Idea, Dr. Reddys Labs, BHEL, Jet Airways, among others.
