Kapil Sharma and Neetu Kapoor starrer Dadi Ki Shaadi witnessed another slow day at the Indian box office on Tuesday as the film continued its weekday run after a decent opening weekend. Released on May 8, the family entertainer had initially shown growth through positive family audience turnout, but collections have now started dropping steadily.

As per trade estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹0.28 crore on Day 5. With this, the total India net collection is estimated to be close to ₹4.1 crore. While the movie managed fair occupancy during evening shows in selected northern circuits, overall footfalls remained limited across multiplexes.

Directed by Ashish R Mohan, Dadi Ki Shaadi marks the acting debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and features a light-hearted emotional storyline centred around family relationships and second chances in life. The film benefited from weekend family audiences, especially in tier-2 cities, but the weekday trend suggests that sustaining momentum could become difficult in the coming days.

Industry observers believe the movie still has some advantage due to its clean family appeal and Kapil Sharma’s television fanbase. However, the film will likely need stronger word-of-mouth support to maintain collections before bigger theatrical releases arrive later this month.

Despite the slowdown, the makers remain hopeful that weekend numbers could once again provide a boost to the film’s overall box office performance.
