Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported overall auto sales of 86,090 vehicles in December 2025, registering a 25% year-on-year increase, including exports. The growth was primarily supported by higher domestic sales in the utility vehicle and commercial vehicle segments.

In the utility vehicles category, Mahindra recorded domestic sales of 50,946 units during December 2025, compared with 41,424 units in the same month last year, reflecting a 23% increase. On a year-to-date basis for FY26, domestic utility vehicle sales stood at 476,476 units, up 18% from 402,360 units recorded in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Passenger vehicle domestic sales followed the same trend, as Mahindra’s passenger portfolio mainly consists of utility vehicles, with total passenger vehicle sales also at 50,946 units for the month.

The domestic commercial vehicles segment showed higher growth compared to passenger vehicles. Mahindra sold 24,786 commercial vehicles in India during December 2025, marking a 34% year-on-year increase. Within this segment, light commercial vehicles in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category recorded sales of 22,066 units for the month, up 37% from last year, while year-to-date volumes for this category increased 16%. Sales of light commercial vehicles below 2 tonnes stood at 2,720 units, showing a 13% increase for December, though year-to-date sales for this sub-segment declined by 4%.

Three-wheeler sales, including electric three-wheelers, totaled 7,538 units in December 2025, compared to 5,750 units a year earlier, translating into a 31% increase. For the financial year so far, three-wheeler sales reached 82,446 units, reflecting a 28% rise on a year-on-year basis.

Exports declined on a monthly basis, with total overseas shipments at 2,820 units in December 2025, down 9% compared to the same month last year. However, cumulative exports for FY26 up to December increased to 30,061 units, registering a 25% growth over the corresponding period of FY25.
