Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced an expansion of its partnership with Aviva, the UK-based insurance, wealth, and retirement provider. Under the expanded arrangement, end-to-end policy administration services will now cover over 6.5 million policies. These services will be delivered by Diligenta UK, TCS’ FCA-regulated subsidiary, on behalf of Aviva.

As part of the development, Aviva has transferred an additional portfolio of its Life Insurance business to TCS. The expansion is intended to extend the existing operating model and service framework already in place between the two companies. The focus of the engagement remains on customer-centric digitisation aligned with the UK’s New Consumer Duty principles, including improved self-service options, digital service delivery centres, and a streamlined technology setup.

TCS will continue to use its BaNCS™ platform for policy administration across life insurance and pension products. The platform supports automated processes, improved data access, and digital workflows for policyholders, advisers, and operations teams. According to the company, several million policies have already been migrated to the BaNCS™ platform by Diligenta, and the additional portfolio will follow a similar approach.

The BaNCS™ solution is built on a digital core and supports conversational interfaces to guide users through policy-related processes. It also includes a product configurator designed to reduce the time required to launch new insurance products. The platform provides APIs to enable integration across channels and systems, along with features such as straight-through processing, first-point resolution, and embedded risk controls.

The expanded scope of work further extends TCS’ operational involvement in the UK insurance administration space. TCS has been operating in the UK for several decades and works with multiple organisations across sectors. The company stated that the partnership expansion reflects continuity of its existing engagement model with Aviva rather than a change in strategic direction.
