Mahindra has officially announced the pricing for its newest seven-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S. The base Pack One Above variant starts at ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom), while the larger 79 kWh battery option is priced at ₹21.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will be offered in two battery capacities — 59 kWh and 79 kWh.

Built on a high-strength steel structure, the XEV 9S is equipped with integrated frontal and side crash protection. It also brings a strong lineup of active safety tech, including ADAS Level 2+, EyeDentity DOMS for driver and occupant monitoring, and the VisionX augmented-reality heads-up display.

Mahindra claims the EV will deliver a range of 500 km, while power output stands at 281 bhp and 380 Nm of torque — the same setup seen in the XEV 9e. The company adds that the 9S offers a class-leading driving position with excellent road visibility.

The SUV also introduces intelligent adaptive suspension with a rapid 15 ms response time. Mahindra hinted at more upcoming EVs across SUV and MPV segments, all based on the INGLO platform.

Inside, the XEV 9S integrates MAIA AI to run the infotainment and key digital functions. Designed to address feedback from XEV 9e and BE 6 buyers, the new model focuses heavily on improved cabin space for all three rows — with the “S” in its name standing for “Space.”
