Salasar Techno Engineering shares inched over 2% higher in morning trade after the company announced two major contract wins worth a combined ₹695.18 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). The fresh orders mark a strong boost for the company’s order book and reinforce its growing role in India’s power distribution upgrade push.
The projects aim to modernise and strengthen the distribution network across the Mandi, Bilaspur, Kullu and Hamirpur operation circles under the Central Zone of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited. Both contracts come under the government’s Revamped Reforms-based and Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), which focuses on lowering distribution losses and enhancing power reliability nationwide.
The first contract, valued at ₹524.99 crore (including GST), covers comprehensive service support and procurement management for all electrical and mechanical components required for the network upgrade. The second order, worth ₹170.19 crore, includes erection and on-ground execution of the improved distribution infrastructure across the same regions.
