United States President Donald Trump has once again nominated entrepreneur and astronaut Jared Isaacman as the next Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The announcement was made late Tuesday on Trump’s social media platform, months after his earlier nomination was withdrawn.

In his statement, Trump called Isaacman “an accomplished business leader, philanthropist, pilot, and astronaut,” highlighting his involvement in private space missions and partnerships with the commercial space industry.

“Jared’s passion for space, astronaut experience, and dedication to pushing the boundaries of exploration, unlocking the mysteries of the universe, and advancing the new space economy make him ideally suited to lead NASA into a bold new era,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Isaacman, known for founding payments company Shift4 and for leading SpaceX’s Inspiration4 private space mission, has maintained close ties with Elon Musk and the commercial space sector. His re-nomination signals the administration’s continued focus on strengthening public-private partnerships in space exploration and deep-space technology development.

If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Isaacman would take charge of NASA at a time when the agency is balancing its Artemis lunar program, collaborations with private aerospace firms, and increasing competition in global space capabilities.

Further updates are awaited on the confirmation process and timeline.
