Bank of India shares surged over 2% after the bank reported a strong Q2 business update. The performance highlighted robust growth across both domestic and global operations, boosting investor confidence. As of 9:20 AM, the shares were trading 1.61% higher at Rs 128.07.

The bank’s total business reached ₹15,61,888 crore, marking an 11.8% increase from ₹13,97,100 crore a year ago. Global deposits climbed to ₹8,53,301 crore, up 10.08% year-on-year, while global gross advances rose to ₹7,08,587 crore, a 13.94% increase.

On the domestic side, deposits increased to ₹7,30,097 crore, an 8.53% rise from last year. Retail term deposits saw a notable jump to ₹3,45,026 crore, up 14.15% year-on-year. Domestic gross advances also strengthened, reaching ₹5,96,794 crore, reflecting healthy growth of 14.62%.
