Indian equity markets extended their decline for the fifth consecutive session on September 25, with the Nifty closing below the 24,900 mark. The index fell 166.05 points to 24,890.85, while the Sensex slipped 555.95 points to 81,159.68.

  • Asian Paints closed at ₹2,404, down 2.2%.

  • NTPC closed at ₹340.2, down 2.1%.

  • Shriram Finance closed at ₹612.3, down 2.1%.

  • Cipla closed at ₹1,507.8, down 2.0%.

  • Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories closed at ₹1,274.7, down 1.8%.

  • Adani Enterprises closed at ₹2,573.3, down 1.8%.
