Kamat Hotels (India) Limited (KHIL) has announced the launch of two new properties — The Orchid Rishivan Hotel in Rishikesh and IRA by Orchid Hotel in Hyderabad — adding a total of 117 new rooms to its growing hospitality portfolio.
Eco-luxury in Rishikesh
The Orchid Rishivan Hotel, built under a revenue-sharing model, offers 54 rooms surrounded by forests at the Himalayan foothills. Alongside a state-of-the-art spa, swimming pool, and recreation centre, the property features a dedicated yoga space adjacent to a centuries-old Shivling temple. The hotel is also equipped with a conference room and versatile indoor-outdoor spaces for destination weddings, corporate retreats, and wellness gatherings. Guests can enjoy dining at a 24-hour restaurant and the Mountain View Bar.
Contemporary stay in Hyderabad
IRA by Orchid Hotel, developed under a leased model, adds 63 modern rooms in Hyderabad. It comes with contemporary dining options, blending local Hyderabadi flavours with international cuisine. With its strategic location, the property is expected to cater to both business and leisure travellers, particularly in the corporate and social events segment.
Management commentary
Dr. Vithal Venkatesh Kamat, Executive Chairman & MD of KHIL, said these launches underline the group’s dual focus — eco-conscious luxury in Rishikesh and contemporary hospitality in Hyderabad. Executive Director Vishal Vithal Kamat added that the expansion positions the brand to capture opportunities in wellness tourism, retreats, and the metro corporate market.
KHIL now operates more than 1,800 keys across India, with hotels in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Bhubaneshwar, Shimla, Goa, Ayodhya, Noida, and other cities.
