Indian stock markets ended the week on a firm note on August 11, with benchmark indices registering healthy gains. In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises led the gainers’ list, rising 4.2 percent to end at ₹2,270.2. Tata Motors followed with a 3.2 percent gain, closing at ₹654.0. Eternal added 2.7 percent to finish at ₹309.0, while Grasim Industries rose 2.7 percent to ₹2,763.0. Apollo Hospitals gained 2.3 percent to settle at ₹7,248.0. Trent advanced 2.1 percent to ₹5,430.5, Jio Financial Services also moved up 2.1 percent to ₹327.9, and State Bank of India rose 2.1 percent to ₹820.8. UltraTech Cement gained 2.0 percent to close at ₹12,400.0, while Larsen & Toubro ended 1.8 percent higher at ₹3,672.0.

On the losing side, Hero MotoCorp slipped 0.8 percent to ₹4,565.0. Bharat Electronics fell 0.2 percent to ₹383.7, and Bharti Airtel declined 0.2 percent to ₹1,855.3. Bajaj Finance edged down 0.1 percent to ₹876.5, while Maruti Suzuki India eased 0.1 percent to ₹12,583.0. Titan Company closed flat at ₹3,460.0.
