Afcons Infrastructure shares jumped 4% after the company bagged two major international road projects in Croatia, strengthening its global footprint. Afcons has been declared the lowest bidder for two construction packages awarded by Croatian Motorways Ltd, as part of the vital Metković–Dubrovnik stretch of the A1 Motorway.
The first contract, worth €240.59 million (approx. ₹2,398 crore), covers a 9-km stretch from Rudine to Slano. The second, valued at €214.45 million (around ₹2,137 crore), involves building 11.5 km between Slano and Puo Mravinjac. Both projects are scheduled for completion in 42 months and are based on a BOQ/item rate model.
With a combined value exceeding ₹4,535 crore, these wins mark a big leap for Afcons in Europe and add significantly to its international order book. Investors welcomed the development, boosting the stock price on expectations of strong execution and enhanced revenue visibility.
