The much-anticipated first look of Dhurandhar, helmed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, was unveiled on Sunday, coinciding with Ranveer Singh’s birthday. Reportedly, even Ranveer himself watched the official first-look clip for the very first time during the reveal, adding to the excitement of the occasion.
Sources close to the production shared that Aditya Dhar was determined to surprise Ranveer and kept the final cut under wraps until the last moment. While Ranveer had previously seen some early footage of Dhurandhar, the high-energy, polished first look was held back to make his birthday truly memorable.
An insider told News18, “Ranveer knows something special is coming, a true cinematic treat, but he hasn’t seen the final cut. It’s entirely Aditya’s ingenious way of making this birthday not just memorable, but truly iconic for his superstar.” Reports also suggest that Ranveer was extremely curious, asking several questions out of excitement, with Aditya patiently answering them while maintaining the secrecy.
Earlier, a leaked clip of Ranveer’s look from the film had surfaced online, heightening fan anticipation. The film, announced last year, also boasts a stellar star cast featuring R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna alongside Ranveer Singh.
At the time of the announcement, Ranveer shared his excitement on social media, writing, “This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this. I love you all, and I promise you, this time, a cinematic experience like never before. With your blessings, we embark on this great, big motion picture adventure with spirited energy and pure intent. This time, it’s personal.”
