In a shocking turn of events, actress and model Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic appearance in the early 2000s music video Kaanta Laga, has passed away. According to journalist Vickey Lalwani, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others.
Tragically, hospital sources confirmed that Shefali was declared dead on arrival. A receptionist at the hospital stated, “She was already gone when they brought her here. Her husband and a few people were with her.”
When approached for further details, the hospital’s Resident Medical Officer, a cardiologist, declined to comment citing patient confidentiality, but did not deny the incident. Later, Dr. Sushant from the hospital officially confirmed Shefali’s passing and stated that her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The exact cause of her sudden death is yet to be determined. Her unexpected demise has left fans, friends, and colleagues in shock as tributes pour in across social media.
