Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently revealed how his much-anticipated film Sikandar came into existence. During a conversation with ANI, the actor disclosed that the film’s story was originally penned by renowned filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala brought the script to Salman after hearing it from Murugadoss, leading to an immediate decision to proceed with the project.
From A.R. Murugadoss to Salman Khan
“Actually, ye Murugadoss ki script thi aur unhone Sajid Nadiadwala ko sunayi,” Salman shared. “Agle hi din Sajid ka mujhe phone aaya ki sun lena aur shayad tumhe pasand aaye.”
The Tiger 3 actor added that after hearing the narration, he had no doubts about taking up the film. “Maine suna… maine bola, ‘Isme pasand na aane wali kya cheez hai? Kab start karoge?’ Toh is prakar se ye film bani hai.”
This revelation has heightened anticipation for Sikandar, as Murugadoss is known for crafting gripping action films like Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
Salim Khan’s Surprise Trailer Launch Appearance
Salman also shared a heartwarming anecdote about his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. The 88-year-old, who rarely attends industry events, made an unexpected appearance at Sikandar‘s trailer launch.
“The love and respect he has earned are still intact. When I was leaving home for the trailer launch, he told me he would join me. Every family member looked at him and asked, ‘What has happened to you?’” Salman recalled with a smile.
The actor revealed that his father even climbed 8-10 steps to take a seat at the back, wanting to witness the press reaction firsthand. This moment was a testament to Salim Khan’s enduring love for cinema and his son’s career.
No Room for Controversies
When asked about controversies surrounding film releases, Salman made it clear that he wants Sikandar to steer clear of any unnecessary drama. “I don’t want any controversy around this film,” he stated firmly.
With Sikandar already generating buzz, Salman’s revelation about its origins and his father’s rare public appearance have only added to the excitement. Fans eagerly await the action-packed entertainer, set to hit theaters later this year.
