Ola Electric Mobility Limited launched its Gen 3 S1 scooter portfolio, unveiling eight new models aimed at mass and premium segments. The company announced the range’s pricing starts at ₹79,999 for the S1 X (2kWh) and goes up to ₹1,69,999 for the flagship S1 Pro+ (5.3kWh). The company emphasized that these new models would offer a 20% increase in peak power, 20% higher range, and an 11% reduction in costs compared to the Gen 2 scooters.

Key Launch Highlights:

  • S1 Pro+ and S1 Pro: The flagship S1 Pro+ with a 5.3kWh battery offers a top speed of 141 kmph and a range of 320 km (IDC).
  • S1 X series: Available in 4kWh, 3kWh, and 2kWh options, with prices ranging from ₹79,999 to ₹1,07,999.
  • Innovative safety features: Introduces category-first dual ABS and patented brake-by-wire technology for optimized safety and performance.
  • MoveOS 5 integration: The new OS update, available from mid-February, will unlock advanced features such as a smartwatch app, live location sharing, and emergency SOS.

Performance Enhancements:
The scooters come equipped with a mid-drive motor, integrated motor control unit (MCU), and a dual ABS braking system for enhanced performance, control, and energy efficiency. The S1 Pro+ can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds.

Expansion Plans:
Ola Electric also announced the launch of its Gig and S1 Z scooter series, catering to personal and commercial needs at introductory prices starting at ₹39,999. Deliveries for the Gen 3 models are set to commence by mid-February 2025.
