Following a directive from the Centre on Monday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will investigate the East Bengaluru Violence on 11th August that had left 4 people dead, as reported by the Times of India.

According to ANI, a team of NIA, headed by an IG-rank officer in Bengaluru, takes up the investigation of the case.

Over 60 police personnel and 35 civilians were injured in the Bengaluru violence in DJ Halli and KG Halli leading to 30 vehicles, including police vans and jeeps, burnt or damaged. Police had fired 180 rounds, including 93 of rubber bullets.
