Suprajit Engineering Limited (SEL), a leading Indian manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chuo Spring Company Limited (Chuo) of Japan. This collaboration marks the creation of a 50:50 joint venture (JV) in India focused on designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-quality transmission cables.
The partnership also includes a Technical Assistance (TA) agreement, allowing the JV access to Chuo’s advanced transmission cable technology. Initially, the JV will serve India’s top two Japanese PV OEMs, enhancing SEL’s product offerings and expanding its presence in the transmission cable market.
This strategic collaboration strengthens the capabilities of both companies, bringing Chuo’s specialized technology to India and supporting SEL’s global OEM customers. The JV not only broadens SEL’s product range but also opens doors for future growth in the transmission cable sector.
