“I salute the power of farmers that made Akali Dal take U-turn & stand in their support. They were advocating ordinances but today they’ve realised seriousness of the matter. Their MPs should oppose the Bills in Rajya Sabha & put united front,” said Punjab Food & Civil Supplies Minister BB Ashu
Three farm bills have been passed in the Lok Sabha last week amid farmer protests and Akali Dal’s Harsimrat Kaur resignation from the union cabinet.
Today, two farm bills are being presented in Rajya Sabha.
Today in Rajya Sabha, on the issue of Minimum Support Price, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said “MSP will continue as before. as I said this in Lok Sabha and PM Modi himself has assured that the MSP will not be tampered with.” He also said these bills are historic and will bring a change in the lives of the farmers.
Massive protests across India have occurred & still are occurring due to these tabled farm bills in Parliament.
