Wipro, a global leader in technology services and consulting, has announced a collaboration with Lineaje, a U.S.-based software supply chain security company. This partnership aims to secure open-source components within enterprise software applications, addressing the growing risks associated with modern software development.
As part of this collaboration, Wipro Ventures, Wipro’s corporate investment arm, has invested in Lineaje. Together, the two companies will offer enterprises advanced tools and services to identify and neutralize vulnerabilities in software supply chains, leveraging Lineaje’s Open-Source Manager and SBOM360 Hub.
This joint offering will provide organizations with granular visibility into software components, uncovering hidden dependencies, evaluating risks, and addressing vulnerabilities at their source. By enabling proactive vulnerability management and verifying supply chain authenticity, this partnership will mitigate potential compromises in software development and deployment.
“Supply chain attacks often target services from third-party vendors and open-source software within a company’s technology stack. Bringing together Lineaje’s AI-driven capabilities and Wipro’s expertise in risk and compliance, we reaffirm our commitment to securing the modern enterprise and software development lifecycle,” said Nikos Anerousis, Vice President, Engineering Edge, Wipro Limited.
Javed Hasan, CEO of Lineaje, emphasized the importance of managing software-related risks:
“For organizations that care about the risk their critical software creates for their business and their customers, proactive management is essential. Lineaje was founded to secure software no matter where it’s built. Partnering with Wipro furthers this mission and delivers greater value to our customers.”
The collaboration combines Wipro’s global reach and deep expertise with Lineaje’s innovative solutions, empowering enterprises to centralize software supply chain risk management. Customers will benefit from enhanced detection, remediation of vulnerabilities, and streamlined security operations powered by Lineaje’s AI-driven capabilities.
