Mahindra has unveiled the exterior designs of its highly anticipated electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, ahead of their official launch on November 26. These new models will be introduced under Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUV brand and are set to join the electric vehicle (EV) lineup in early 2025.
The XEV 9e and BE 6e electric SUVs are built on Mahindra’s new EV platform, boasting a futuristic look with sharp design elements. The XEV 9e features a sleek front with a connected LED lightbar and vertical lights, while the BE 6e showcases the XUV 3XO-inspired lighting system. Both SUVs sport bold character lines, large wheel arches, and 18-inch alloy wheels, alongside connected LED taillights at the rear.
Inside, both models offer a futuristic, tech-driven interior. The BE 6e comes with a dual-screen layout, while the XEV 9e offers a triple-screen setup. Both vehicles include a large panoramic sunroof, a nearly squared steering wheel with haptic buttons, and advanced ADAS features.
In terms of performance, the XEV 9e is expected to offer a range of 500 km with a 60-80 kWh battery, along with fast charging capabilities. The BE 6e will feature a similar battery with a range of 450-500 km.
These new EVs are expected to rival models like the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 and Tata Curvv EV, making them strong contenders in the growing electric SUV market.
