Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru Police in Karnataka has taken total 13 people into the custody alleging their involvement in Sandalwood drug racket including actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjana Galrani. As per the recent development in the matter, CCB has raided Aditya Alva’s residence named ‘House of Lives’ in connection with the same case. Aditya is son of Jeevaraj Alva who was former Chief Minister of Karnataka and also brother-in-law of actor Vivek Oberoi.
City court had sent Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi and a few accused to a 14-day judicial custody on 14th September whereas the police remand of actress Sanjjana Galrani was extended by three days as per a report by Zoom. According to CCB, Sanjjana’s friend Rahul Ranka and apparently a drug peddler Loum Pepper Samba were also taken into the custody in previous week. A few older reports also suggested that actress Sanjjana did not want to undergo dope test and created a ruckus in the hospital. CCB is investigating the matter thoroughly.
