Today, on the occasion of his 40th birthday, Rajkummar Rao has announced his new film titled Maalik. The actor took to his Instagram handle on Saturday to share a new poster of his look in the film. In the poster, Rajkummar stood on a police jeep in a white outfit, looking back. He was seen giving an intense look and holding a gun in his hand. The name of the film was also included on this poster. It also read, “Paeda nahi huye toh kya, ban toh sakte hai .”
Rajkummar captioned the post, “Maalik ki duniya mein aapka Swagat hai. Shoot shuru ho chuka hai, jald hi mulaqat hogi!” Reacting to the post, his wife-actor Patralekhaa commented, “Jeeee baat.”
A fan commented, “Man, he is bringing contents back to back. From Mr and Ms Mahi to Srikanth, to Stree 2 and now this. He is healing from last year’s disappointments.” Another user wrote, “Rajkummar has come a long way. He looks amazing. A big leap from Stree and Stree 2.”
This is the first time Rajkummar will be seen essaying the role of a gangster in an action thriller. The film is being helmed by Pulkit and is currently underway with a proper elaborate schedule planned across different locations of India. Maalik is produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films.
