Arshad Warsi’s recent comment regarding Prabhas’ performance in Kalki 2898 AD has stirred quite a controversy on the internet. The ‘joker’ comment was perceived as quite a derogatory towards Prabhas, causing a stir among his fans and colleagues.
In awake of the backlash, Vishnu Manchu, President of the Movie Artiste Association (MAA) has formally addressed the issue in an open letter to Poonam Dhillon, President of Cine and TV Artiste Association (CINTAA), expressing the distress by Arshad’s remarks.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Poonam Dhillon opened up on the discomfort being spread by the comments of Munna Bhai MBBS actor.
She acknowledged that the actor’s comment might not have been directed towards Prabhas but towards the character he portrayed. She added that it is essential for him to provide a clarification and address any potential harm caused.
Poonam Dhillon also spoke highly of Prabhas and labelled him as one of the most respectable and decent individual in the industry. She also conveyed her hope that the situation would be resolved amicably.
