Akshay Kumar is ready for the third release of this year with the movie ‘Khel Khel Mein’. The movie directed by Mudassar Aziz is a romantic comedy-drama and popular star cast includes Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and Ammy Virk.
Akshay came out with another two films this year but both the films failed at the box office although the later received good critical acclaim. Over the years, Khiladi Kumar, particularly the past years, he has been involved in films with themes related to issues in the society such as the use of sanitary pads, sex, and toilets. Though, these films have got not a raw deal from the audiences, recently Akshay said that though he tried choosing films which were different, everyone in the industry used to scoff at him.
In a recent interview to India Today, the actor shared that when he began making these films, even friends and critics asked him why he had to make films on such issues. Some of the subjects are really good he said and he also likes making documentaries that create an awareness. The actor revealed how they were told it was wrong to do a movie on sex when he decided on doing on ‘OMG 2’, which is about sex education.
Meanwhile, Akshay will be next seen in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. This high-octane cop action thriller will see the actor again playing the character of Sooryavanshi. The movie also features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
