India celebrated his its first medal at Paris Olympics 2024 with shooter Manu Bhaker scoring a bronze medal. This historic achievement has garnered widespread praise for the athlete from all over the country, including Bollywood celebrities.
Among those congratulating Manu were Bollywood actresses Preity Zinta and Taaspsee Pannu.
Preity took to her Instagram Stories to share a congratulatory message for Manu with a picture. A similar video was shared by Haseen Dilruba actress, who wrote, on her Instagram Story, “Opening our Olympic medal tally account with a bronze!!! Congratulations to this fantastic shooter.”
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his congratulatory wishes to Manu as he wrote, “A historic medal! Well done, @realmanubhaker, for winning India’s FIRST medal at #ParisOlympics2024! Congrats for the Bronze.”
The success of Manu Bhaker becomes even more historic as this is the first time ever a medal has been won by India in shooting.
